Peach Has Feelings!

"I am just a peach!

Yet I am very juicy and sweet!

People don’t love me for my looks,

They love me for my “inner rich world”, because I taste so good…

I see vegetables and I don’t understand their purpose, and why do people like them if they are hard to eat?

I look at those huge eggplants and lazy potatoes that people have to waste time preparing to consume,

But I am always ready; men should choose to bite me!

Well, sometimes I love being cooked or used as a beautiful decoration!

I love being on top of the cakes, but a sugar candy is my favorite combination!"

This poem is a monologue of a single Peach that expresses its feelings about how it feels about its life and its “world.” It is called: “Peach Has Feelings!” The peach is an inanimate object but this poem assumes that it has feelings and opinions about the world. Peach tries to explain people that it is sweet and ready to eat and when it is ripe, you can consume it whenever you want, it has no buts or nots unlike those eggplants or some other vegetables that are hard to cook and have so many conditions for you to get your dose, since you have to peel and cook them, etc. The peach is always sweet and has a delicious juice on the inside, and it really wants you to eat it, because it is ready and it is also good for your health! But Peach also says that it likes when we humans/men use it as a cake decoration, because it tastes good when it is mixed with cream, since its juice and cream taste great! But it explains that its favorite part is when people combine it with a sugar candy! Peach loves sugar candy, because together they have so much sweetness to share and they look gorgeous as a couple. On the one hand, peach is healthy, on the other hand, a gorgeous sugar candy brings some amazing flavors and colors. Dear Reader, what is your favorite fruit? Do you like peaches?
